Kitchen wastes like used food remainings, unused fruits, vegetable wastes etc can be better utilised for the preparation of manure for the kitchen garden. It is so simple and highly effective in the waste management.
Take a used 20 ltr paint bucket and make air holes round the sides. Fix a small PVC pipe at the bottom of the bucket to drain out the liquid later.
Place the bucket over some bricks. Place an one liter empty paint container under the bucket to collect the drained out liquid.
Every day put the biogradable vegetable wastes in the big container and add a little water. Collect every day the drained liquid and mix this with water and use this for gardening.
This system can be used for 4 months for a family of 4. Once the bucket was full either use another similar bucket or remove solid content and use this as solid manure for the plants and use the same bucket.
In this way one can manage the kitchen waste and at the same time organic manure can be prepared for the plants.
